  • Notes 
    • Mr. Benjamin Fawcett became one of the lay preachers in the district, walking miles each Sunday to preach at schoolhouses and later churches, at such places as Allenford, North Derby, Tara, Invermay, Arkwright and Burgoyne. In later years he rode horseback. Benjamin Fawcett also gave leaderships in the Saugeen Reservation church. Logging bees and fall fairs occupied his time and he was president of the Bruce Farmers' Institute for several years.

      Family said to come from Snainton, Yorkshire.
